Statement:

In Christianity, milk is seen as a fluid of eternal life, “you shall write on them all the words of this law, when you cross over to enter the land that the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has promised you” (Duet 27:3).

In Hinduism, a cow represents the mother and it's milk represents love for it's calf. Indian cows, unlike western cows, will only produce milk when with their calf. They can't make milk underneath any other circumstance. They only give their milk out of an outpouring of love.

Milk has many strong cultural connotations.

As a child, I was always told the phrase “Don’t cry over spilled milk”.

Now, I know, the truth.

One should only cry over spilled milk.
